Inclusive excellence is the framework and the driving factor that is foundational to our strategic plan. It is represented both in the “how” and in the “process” and is embedded throughout the plan itself.
- How we Lead. As a Leadership Team we will work as a collaborative unit to provide guidance for the planning process; to create opportunities for the SC to be involved and fully engaged; and to leverage the talents of the members of the SC and the UMBC community.
- How we Engage. We will ensure that every member of the UMBC community has an opportunity to contribute to the plan should they want to. We will be thoughtful about how we utilize individual’s time, how we create collective spaces and how we ensure that the plan and the feedback opportunities are accessible to the entire UMBC community.
- How we Communicate. We will leverage the appropriate talent to develop a thoughtful and inclusive communication plan that has broad reach and that supports multiple opportunities for community feedback.
- How we Implement. We will ALL be responsible and accountable for the successful implementation of the UMBC strategic plan and we will ALL reap the benefits and the gains that come from our collective and steadfast commitment.
